Members can apply for CSC grants from this website in two ways: the first is to submit an online application by choosing from the drop-down menu below and the second is to right-click on the pdf icon which is against the particular type of grant you require and choose Save As.. or Save Target As... to download the form to your PC. You can then print it off, fill it in and then send it to the address indicated on the form.

In all there are 6 categories of grants which the Sports Council can award.
These are:
A
Club Start-Up grant is available to newly formed clubs only that are
based in the Caithness
Area. Grant Aid is available up to a maximum of £200.
Excellence
Grant
aid to a maximum of £550 is available to support and encourage
talented athletes
with the costs of attending National squad or team training, competing
in selected events associated with the squad or team selection trials,
etc. The award is to assist with travel, meals and accommodation. In
addition, the individual will receive a Certificate of Excellence at
the Caithness Sports Council AGM.
Clubs
who travel outwith Caithness to take part in a scheduled competitive
event
may receive grant aid up to 50% of the costs, up to a maximum of £200
per event. Not more than 5 trips per year (1st April to 31st March)
will be assisted and not more than £550 will be paid out to a club
in any one year. Travel costs are based on transport, accommodation and
food.
Grant
aid is available, up to a maximum of £200 or 50% (whichever is the
lesser amount) for attending coaching courses. Awards are for individuals
or groups belonging to an affiliated club based in the Caithness area to
attain National Governing Body Coaching or Refereeing certificate(s) or
SVQ Awards, National Coaching Foundation and other appropriate qualifications.
The grant will assist with travel, course fees and accommodation costs.
Grant aid is also available for affiliated clubs who organise
a coaching course in Caithness (See Under Discretionary below).
Financial
aid may be available to affiliated clubs to enable them to promote or develop
sport in its widest sense, including organising a special event, e.g. a "Come & Try" session or organising a coaching course in Caithness. Grant
aid up to a maximum of £200 may be available.
Financial
aid may be available to affiliated clubs to enable them to purchase items of
sporting equipment. Grant assistance of 60% of costs may be available where the total
costs are less than £600. Maximum assistance available will be £550. In special
circumstances, the Caithness Sports Council may consider application
greater than £600 where no support is available from CASE.
NB Assistance will not be given for non durable items such as team
clothing, tracksuits, strips.
All clubs applying for grants from the Caithness Sports Council must comply with certain terms and conditions in order to qualify for the grant in question. Download this file to view and ensure your club is eligible for grant aid.
Once your Grant application has been approved you will need to submit this Grant Claim Form in order to actually receive your award.
Please note that any club applying for a grant which includes children 17 and under or vulnerable adults MUST have a Child / Vulnerable Adult Protection Policy.
